This unusual design, and Unique Wedding Cake, was only understood by the couple. Only they knew the significance of what the design meant, and it was special to them! “Ultimately, the wedding is about you, and what you want”, I share with them during our time together to discuss their wedding cake. Well, Jenny and Dan took that to heart! Their design was a reflection of a game they enjoy playing together 🙂 Certainly a Unique Wedding Cake!
Their wedding and reception was located at The Views at Superstition. We first met this sweet family over a year before their special day. Jenny’s mother, father and Jenny’s brother Liam came to an open house at the venue. The staff at The Views at Superstition immediately felt a connection, and truly enjoyed getting to know this sweet family. Not long after we met them at the open house, tragedy struck their family. Jenny had lost her brother Liam in a motorcycle accident. Jenny’s mother and father, had lost their son! I’ll never forget this young man, his kindness the evening we met, and how he LOVED eating our cake samples! Jenny, the bride had expressed she was going to have him to be her “Man of Honor”! As close as a brother and sister could be, she had a special role for him in her wedding.
Such a tragedy for this sweet family. But the wedding went on for Jenny and Dan, though Liam was not far from their thoughts that special day. Certainly thought of often by family and close friends that very special day. Jenny and Dan’s wedding had many unique elements to their day, including bagpipes!
With a catered meal by Kirwen with Sedona Trail Catering, and their special unique wedding cake. The entire flavor of cake what they both loved Marble (Chocolate and Vanilla) with Raspberry Filling.
